A Letter From Me to You 💜

I almost let the month slip by without saying something. But how could I not?

Four years ago, I took one of the scariest (and most rewarding) steps of my life and officially started Mermaid Kove LLC.

It didn’t begin with a business plan or a dream board. It started with a moment of clarity in the middle of a pandemic when everything felt like it was falling apart and I realized I had to do something different. Something for me. Something for my kids. Something that made me feel alive again.

The Beginning

It was 2021. We were all wearing masks. Grocery stores had arrows and stickers telling us where to stand. Everything was distant. The world was shut down. But my center was still open, and I was teaching - exhausted, burnt out, and honestly, just mentally gone.

Every day I showed up, but my spirit wasn’t in it. I was pouring from an empty cup.

So in June 2021, I quit.

I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew I couldn’t keep going like that. I filed the paperwork, took a deep breath, and said, “I’ll figure it out.” And somehow, I did.

Why Mermaid Kove?

The name came straight from my soul.

I’ve always loved the ocean. It’s where I go to breathe, to reset, to dream. Every single one of my kids has an ocean-inspired middle name. My daughter adored mermaids, and my son’s middle name is Kove.

This business was meant to be a reflection of us—of me as a mom, a creator, a woman trying to build something magical in the middle of chaos.

So Mermaid Kove was born.

What’s Happened Since…

In these four years:

🌀 I’ve made hundreds (maybe thousands!) of custom gifts, cups, and designs

🌀 I’ve helped small businesses show up and shine

🌀 I’ve decorated birthdays, showers, graduations, launches and shared so many special moments with so many of you

It hasn’t been easy. I’ve cried over missed orders, danced after big wins, pulled

all-nighters, doubted myself, and pushed through.

But I’ve never stopped creating. Never stopped believing.

And that’s because of you.
