August Check-In: Summer, School & A New Year Around the Corner

Hey friends 💜

This year went from legit January, February… marchaprilmayjunejuly… AUGUST.

Like how?! 😅

I can’t believe it’s already August. Summer flew by, but honestly it was such a needed pause for me.

I spent part of it traveling, I got to visit both the Philippines and Japan and it gave me so much space to heal and reconnect. Being back home with family in the Philippines was emotional in the best way, and Japan was just... beautiful. The culture, the peace, the little details everywhere. It inspired me in a way I didn’t even know I needed.

Outside of travel, I spent time catching up with friends, getting my house in order (still working on that one 😅), and slowly easing back into my creative flow.

Sometimes you don’t realize how much mental clutter you’re carrying until you finally let yourself rest.

And now, school is starting back up for the kids, which means routines are returning and I get a little more time to dive back into Mermaid Kove projects. I’ve truly missed creating.

Also… a little personal thing: My birthday’s coming up on September 1! 🎉

It always feels like my real new year more than January ever does. I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want this next year to look like for me, my business, and my family. I’m not rushing into answers, but I can feel something shifting… in a really good way.

I’m working on some new designs and seasonal items; fall coziness, meaningful gifts, a little sparkle, and a lot of heart. I’ll be sharing sneak peeks soon!

🏡 Creating Space at Home = Creating Space to Dream

Getting my house together has honestly been its own little journey. It’s wild how much your environment can either drain or energize you. Making my space more peaceful is helping me create with more clarity and intention.
